Tenancy Support Service

The Tenancy Support Service was set up in 2002 and attached to the 'Outreach Team' within Carolina House Trust.  Over the years this service has experienced many changes and has eventually come full circle and now attached to the  Throughcare and Aftercare Team.

The main aim of the service is to offer support to young people leaving the care of Dundee City Council to help prepare them for managing their own tenancies.  Consideration is also given to vulnerable young people who are homeless and other young people who may require advice and support.

The service has a protocol with Hillcrest Housing Association whereby young people leaving the care of Dundee City Council would be offered accommodation if they accept support from the tenancy support worker .This service has also been extended to include young people accessing accommodation from other housing providers.
