Support for Independence

This service was created in 2008 to offer a longer term care provision for young people already resident in Carolina House Trust who require ongoing support into adulthood (16 -25 years).

The vision of the service is to promote a caring and safe environment where young adults can gain new educational skills, become more independent in the community, focus on gaining life skills and becoming a valued member of society. Support for Independence looks to promote dignity, confidentiality and respect.

Involvement in decision making is encouraged by ensuring individuals are by being listened too and promoting freedom of communication within a safe, secure and caring environment
