This project is funded by Big Lottery, Life Transitions and the Mathew Trust. It aims to improve outcomes for vulnerable young care leavers giving them the necessary supports and advice they require to have a successful transition into independent living from being a Looked After young person. This support will be provided through supported accommodation, mentoring in life skills and personal development and will provide support into training or employment. There will be individual tailored packages of support. The accommodation facility with bedsits, flats and communal areas will provide the stability, safety and nurturing this group of young people need to help them succeed in their independent life.
The Project is due to start in August 2012 so we will keep the website updated on the progress we are making. For an informal discussion on the Project please contact Steve Clark on 01382 817279 (ext 102) or email him at SClark@carolina.org.uk
